I didn’t just stay here… I painted, laughed, and felt alive here in Richmond. This little Airbnb turned out to be more than just a place to sleep—it was a creative retreat, a pocket of warmth where art, conversation, and inspiration flowed so naturally.
1. A Tiny Home Made for Artists
This retreat felt like more than just a cozy stay—it was like stepping into a living artwork. Even the office space was filled with art, with paintings and creative touches on the walls. Every corner whispered inspiration. It wasn’t only about doing art, but about being an artist—breathing it in, surrounded by beauty and creativity everywhere you turned.

2. Friendly, Artistic Heart of Point Richmond
Point Richmond welcomed me with kindness. My host was incredibly thoughtful—she asked in advance about my arrival time at the airport, kept in touch while I was on my way, and even asked whether I preferred coffee, tea, or both. She was so prepared and welcoming that I instantly felt at home.
Point Richmond is known as a town of artists, filled with galleries, vintage art shops, and even a professional spa—a community overflowing with kindness and creativity.
As a small thank-you gift, I gave my host one of Yumeji Takehisa’s modern art prints. It felt like a meaningful way to share a piece of Japan’s artistic tradition—blended with a modern touch—with someone who lives in such a creative community.

3. Surrounded by Fantastic Nature
One of the most inspiring parts of this stay was how close I was to nature. Just a short 15-minute walk from my Airbnb brought me to Keller Beach, nestled within the Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline. Feeling the salty breeze on my skin and listening to the rhythm of the waves as I painted was the most fantastic outdoor studio I could ever imagine.
But the magic didn’t end there. While walking up the hills, I suddenly encountered a deer and her fawn, peacefully grazing just a few steps away. These unexpected moments made me feel completely immersed in the natural world.

4. A Little Taste of Inspiration in Point Richmond
The host has stayed in more than 40 different Airbnbs around the world. Through these journeys, she has seen and felt countless cultures, colors, and creative expressions. Following her unique sensibility, she has brought together inspirations from global beauty, art, and creativity—and carefully woven them into this retreat.
That is why this space feels so special. Staying here is not only about comfort; it is about entering a place where inspiration lives in every corner. It is truly a little taste of inspiration in Point Richmond, a home that invites you to enjoy creativity simply by being within it.

5. The Terrace of Light, Laughter, and Hummingbirds
The yellow door is so cheerful—like a brushstroke of sunshine that greets you the moment you arrive. Bright, warm, and playful, it feels almost like the house itself is smiling. The terrace quickly became our favorite gathering spot. We sat outside, shared meals, and talked for hours while soaking in the golden light of Point Richmond. The view stretched out beautifully, offering a peaceful backdrop where time seemed to slow down.
And then, the little surprises: hummingbirds fluttering nearby, almost as if they wanted to join the
conversation. This wasn’t just a terrace—it was a stage where sunshine, fresh air, and nature all
came together to welcome us.
